Fairway Forum Santiago

The inaugural Fairway Santiago was held between 15th and 18th October in Santiago, Compostela, Spain and Prof Yamada, Prof Kato, Prof Horita, Ms Nakamoto, Ms Fujita and three students from the Faculty of Tourism, Wakayama University participated in the forum.
At the forum, Prof Kato presented “Tendency and Vision of Future of Kumano Kodo” and introduced her research and activities with students. Her presentation was very well received and a few audience approached her after the presentation expressing their interest in Kumano Kodo.
During their stay in Santiago de Compostela, tourism research cooperation memorandum was officially agreed and signed between the Center for Toursim Studies and Research, the University of Santiago De Compostela and the Center for Tourism Research, Wakayama University.
