[Event report] Organized the 6th Asian Forum for the Next Generation of the Social Sciences of Sport at Wakayama University

The 6th Asian Forum for the Next Generation of the Social Sciences of Sport co-hosted by Center for Tourism Research (CTR) was held at Wakayama University from 21st August to 23rd August, 2017. Dr. Eiji Ito (Faculty of Tourism), Assoc. Prof. Kei Hikoji (Faculty of Education), Assoc. Prof. Shiro Yamaguchi (University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences), and Ms. Kazue Nakamoto (CTR) organized this forum.

In total, 81 participants (academics: 15, post graduates: 27, under graduates: 35, other: 4) from Japan, Korea, China, and Canada attended this forum. During the event, a keynote lecture, 15 oral presentations, and 24 poster presentations were conducted. Additionally, Mr. Shinichi Nagano’s (master student at the Graduate School of Tourism, Wakayama University), oral presentation “Influences of Walking on Kumano-Kodo on Affective Experience” received “2017 Best Graduate Student Paper Award”.
