Project summary
This research will analyse the recent decrease of the Japanese tourists to Spain, and specifically to Madrid, exploring the reason behind this trend. An explanation is due for this negative tourism trend given that Madrid features many of the important characteristics of a destination regarded most important for Japanese tourists, namely culture and heritage among many other attractions. Cross-cultural issues are specifically examined as a possible factor.
